These are cooked at high temperatures and so have very little nutrition left at the end, they also full of fillers such as grains, wheat, starchy sugars and preservatives, and many more unhealthy ingredients that actually cause chronic inflammation, dehydration and ultimately ill health. Processed foods cause the gut bacteria to be unhealthy due to the lack of water content in dry food, poor quality ingredients and the processing of the food itself leaving it with little to no nutritional value. If the gut is unhealthy, the immune system is compromised.

Not only is raw feeding the healthiest option, but its even more important to feed special needs cats that have suffered nerve damage or have loss of control to the bowels a fresh raw diet as this ensures diarrhoea and constipation are prevented and the feces is the right consistency to prevent megacolon.
