Cats are high risk of injury and trauma from situations such as car accidents as most pet cats are allowed to roam freely outdoors. At HCCF we advocate and encourage giving cats a more protected life by allowing them to live indoors and providing access to safe outdoor spaces to protect them and prevent these incidents.
Road accidents are often fatal, but also cause long term disability in most cases. Broken bones, amputations, nerve damage and neurological damage are just some of the severe injuries cats can sustain.
